NEWS!
Our very own Joe Pillari was in this year’s Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show! Additionally, some of our friends were participants as well! Matt Phillips, Emi Savacool, Kaitlin Kerr, and Matty Malesky, among others (Links to their blogs or websites are listed under Friends and Artists). Congratulations to those who sold work! Hopefully, you all ran out of business cards and had a great time. We’re proud of you!
Paradigm’s HxWxD closes this evening so if you didn’t make it to the opening now is the time to go. 2020 South Street 6-10 pm. Beautiful pieces for your viewing pleasure. Many (if not all) are for sale. Start your art collection early! ;-)
We haven’t had a show in a while but it doesn’t mean we aren’t brainstorming. Please keep following us for updates. I have many themes and show ideas tumbling about in my head. Perhaps a jewelry show in the near future? Hmm… If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions or would like to help us plan something, feel free to post here or email us @ mail.thesoapbox@gmail.com !

Hi, there!
It’s been a long time. Too long. For any of you who are wondering where we went, do not fret! We apologize for the hiatus. Summer tends to make some of the Soapboxers (Ok, just Casey) super grouchy. The house is little and we tried to spend as much time outside denying it was blazing hot rather that try to cool off our brains and get working. Now that September has rolled in, we’re beginning to get psyched for making work and showing new things! Pumpkin beer and art sounds like the best thing ever, no?
What has everyone been up to this summer? How is your work going? What amazing art did you see?
Speaking of amazing art, we have yet to post the few images we have from Lightness and Weight! It was a terrific night, lots of good friends! We’ll get crackin’ on those images, promise. ;-)
In the meantime, please stay tuned! We’ll be working on new show ideas in the weeks to come. We hope you are all doing well!
Love,
Joe, Carissa, and Casey
Clip Art Gallery and The Soapbox present: Lightness and Weight
THIS SATURDAY, 216 Bainbridge Street, First Floor! 6 pm!
Please join us for some terrific artwork, great friends, beer, and light snacks! Our artists have been working away through the insane heat waves to bring you a terrific exhibition inspired by an amazing piece of literature. Milan Kundera’s “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” has helped spawn some truly unique artworks that are not to be missed! Bring your friends!
In addition to this exiciting collaboratively orchestrated exhibition, we will be wishing Miss Stephanie Struse a happy birthday and we will, sadly, be saying Bon Voyage to our dear friends Adam and Courtney and their amazing pets as they sail off (metaphorically) for new adventures in Baltimore. We will miss them but are so proud of them for persuing their dreams and finding their first true home together. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
Okay, getting teary. It is sure to be a knock-out of a brodown. ART! BEER! FRIENDS! DOGS! BIRTHDAYS!
